Wilson Fundations (Phonics and Spelling Program)
Grades K-2

Literacy development develops on a foundation of explicit phonics instruction. Wilson Fundations program is our core phonics and spelling instruction and assessment program. The Fundations provides a prevention and early intervention curriculum to help reduce reading and spelling failure. Teachers incorporate multisensory lessons that benefit ALL students in the regular classroom. The explicit and systematic teaching of essential phonics, word analysis, and vocabulary development skills is critical for student success and is designed to address all five areas of reading instruction (Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension).
