Kirtland Football in the State Championship

 

Congratulations to your Kirtland Hornets on defeating Nelsonville-York to advance to the OHSAA Division VI State Championship! The team will play Maria Stein Marion High School for the Division VI State Championship on Saturday, December 2 at 10:00am in Canton at Tom Benson Stadium.


Community Rally
Please join us on Wednesday, November 29th at 6:00pm in the KHS stadium for a community rally to support the Hornets. All fans are encouraged to attend this event showcasing the Cheerleaders and Band along with the Football Team! 

State Championships Ticket Information
General admission (no assigned seating) tickets will be on sale for $11 each, Tuesday through Friday, 8AM-3PM at the KHS Athletics Office. Tickets will also be available at the gate for $15 each. Fan Parking Information:
Parking at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium will be closed to public parking. Fans are urged to park at the Stark County Fairgrounds and take advantage of the Stadium Shuttle, with continuous service for all seven state championship games beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, and then from 8 AM to an hour after the final game of the day Friday and Saturday. Parking is $5.00 per car, and the stadium shuttle is free. The Stark County Fairgrounds are located at 700 Wertz Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio. See directions below.

Directions to Fairgrounds:
Travelling southbound on Interstate 77, you should exit at Exit 105 (Tuscarawas Street). Turn right onto Tuscarawas Street and then turn right on Wertz Avenue.  Continue to the Fairgrounds entrance at 700 Wertz Avenue. Fairgrounds entrance is on the left side.

Spectrum Channel Information and Broadcast Crews
The championship games will be televised live by Spectrum on Channel 311 statewide (510 in former Insight areas) and streamed live on MySpectrumSports.com for Spectrum subscribers.

OHSAA Radio Network - State Championship Broadcast Crews
The championship games will be available from Skyview Satellite, which also distributes radio programming in Ohio for the Blue Jackets, Cavs, Reds, Indians, Bengals and Browns. The OHSAA football state championship broadcasts are also available online at OHSAA.org. OHSAA Football Championship Rules and Security Procedures
The following are PROHIBITED but please consult the list: bags larger than a clutch purse are prohibited, Umbrellas are prohibited, noisemakers to include milk jugs, weapons, camera tripods, and seat cushions (all seats have backs). Permitted items include: A clear bag that is the approximate size of a Ziploc gallon bag, wheelchairs, medical scooters, binoculars WITHOUT the case.
