KES Student Compete and Excel in the Noetic Learning Math Contest

In November, 28 third graders led by Mrs. Molchen, 29 fourth graders led by Mrs. Lafferty, and 25 fifth graders led by seniors Marissa Carmosino and Aria Ray competed in the Noetic Learning Math Contest. Noetic Learning Math Contest is a national mathematics contest for elementary and middle school students. The goal of the competition is to encourage students' interest in math, to develop their problem-solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.

More than 25,900 students representing 533 schools across the country took part in this fall’s contest.  Nine third graders, 8 fourth graders, and 14 fifth graders received National Honorable Mention. This title is awarded to the top 50% of participating mathletes.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants! The contest results demonstrate our students’ great problem-solving skills and their math talents. They also show that our students can rise to the occasion and can meet the challenge.
