Welcome to the Kirtland Schools’ Key Communicator e-newsletter. We hope to use this tool as a two-way form of communication to share the good news going on in our classrooms, and also provide you with facts in the event of negative situations. We hope you will act as informal communications liaisons with the community and let us know what you’re hearing so we can proactively provide you with the facts of what’s happening in your schools. Thank you for your support! Our Vision: Provide a personalized education for all students. Our Mission: We educate students to be empowered citizens. |

Superintendent ReportSuperintendent VanArnhem highlighted the following: A lot of people in our community have had a very challenging week following the tornado that came through our area. He thanked numerous staff that stepped up on our campus. In particular, he thanked the building custodians, secretaries and tech department for working through all the challenges that came with losing power. He updated the Board that the new flexible furniture for the K and First grade classrooms have arrived, have been assembled and are in the classrooms. Also, the carpet has been installed in the rooms that in KMS were modified over the summer. Congratulations to our PTA for being recognized for their hard work and achievements with the 2023-2025 National PTA School of Excellence designation! Congratulations on earning this prestigious recognition, which symbolizes their incredible work as national leaders in developing strong family-school partnerships. We are so excited to welcome our students back for the first day of school on Thursday, August 15th!
