Friday, April 25 @ Cleveland Botanical Garden, from 9:30am-1pm OR from 3:30-7pm

• DESCRIPTION: Power of Plants or ”POP” is an interactive program geared towards children aged 3-12 where they can learn about all the great things people get from plants! We will host two of these fast-paced and fun sessions as part of our Arbor Day celebration. Volunteers can assist at one of ten different stations to help engage young guests in fun learning activities. No experience necessary; day-of training will be provided.
• REQUIREMENTS: Closed-toe shoes, family-friendly attire. Wheelchair accessible & seated positions available.
• REGISTRATION: Open to anyone ages 14 and up! HF&G volunteers can sign up in VicNet; everyone else can sign up here

Saturday, April 26 @ Holden Arboretum, from 8:30am-12:30pm OR from 12:15-4:15pm

• DESCRIPTION: In honor of Arbor Day and the successful People for Trees initiative, Holden Arboretum will be celebrating the work of Holden Forests & Gardens with a special open house. On Saturday, April 26, visitors can enjoy free admission, see stilt walkers, listen to live music, make a craft, enjoy food from one of the food trucks, and pick up a free silky dogwood tree seedling. Volunteer opportunities include nature craft assistant, parking assistant, seedling giveaway table, marshmallow monitor, and more!
• REQUIREMENTS: Closed-toe shoes, family-friendly attire.
• REGISTRATION: Open to current HF&G volunteers; sign up in VicNet. We can also take small groups! Just email us at [email protected].

Saturday, April 26 @ Cleveland Botanical Garden, from 9:30am-12pm

• DESCRIPTION: It's spring at Cleveland Botanical Garden! After winter passes and the soil warms up, it is time to remove the plant debris and tidy up our gardens for guests. Volunteers will help with basic outdoor garden clean-up activities such as raking leaves, carrying away plant debris, composting, picking up/bagging sticks and other basic tasks. No garden experience necessary, and no extra charge for the chance to see our GORGEOUS spring tulip display for FREE!
• REQUIREMENTS: Volunteers must wear appropriate attire for the weather; closed-toe shoes are required. Clothes will get dirty and likely wet; layers are recommended.
• REGISTRATION: Open to anyone, including families with children ages 8 and up! HF&G volunteers can sign up in VicNet; everyone else can sign up here.
