Kirtland Students Excel in GCCTM Math Competitions
On February 25, 12 fourth graders and 12 fifth graders traveled to Hawken Upper School to compete in the annual GCCTM (Greater Cleveland Council of Teachers of Mathematics) Math 4-5 competition.  They were up against students from Hawken as well as other area schools.  Hawken was one of 10 sites running the competition that Saturday.  One of our 5th grade teams won a trophy while the rest of our teams received blue ribbons.

On Saturday, March 4th, KMS hosted the annual GCCTM 6-7-8 Competition.   There were 25 teams competing, and KMS entered two 3-person teams from each grade level.  There were 5 schools represented in the competition at KMS, and we were one of 10 sites offering the competition.   We had one sixth grade team and one 8th grade team win medals at the contest.   Congratulations to all our mathletes!
