Hello Kirtand Families,

I hope that you all have had a wonderful and enjoyable summer with your children!  Our buses have started their practice runs, the buildings are shining, the band can be heard practicing and we are excited to welcome back all of our students to campus very soon.  This week, there are a variety of orientations and activities taking place that can be found on our website at https://www.kirtlandschools.org/.  I want to highlight some information as we open our doors for the first day of school on Thursday, August 18th. 

• Bus Routes

  • Routes can be found in Infinite Campus.  Click on “Transportation” to see the bus number and estimated pickup and drop off times.

• Permanent Improvement Updates: 

  • Demolition has been completed in the KHS Science Lab and currently the electrical and plumbing work is underway.  The classroom is expected to be available for the start of the second semester.  The stadium renovation will begin in April of 2023.  Many materials have already been ordered for the stadium because of the long lead time to receive them.  Third grade classrooms will welcome students with new carpet, blinds and flexible furniture.

    • An update on the AC units mentioned in the video.  They all arrived on Monday and are currently being installed. The goal is that every classroom will have a unit installed by next week.
