COVID-19 Updates 11/22/20
Kirtland Local Schools COVID-19 Updates |
Hello Kirtland Families, We learned this evening that a substitute teacher from the elementary school tested positive for COVID-19. Parents of students that were deemed close contacts by the health department were called by the district administration tonight. Seven students will be quarantined because they were “close contacts”. An email was sent to the parents of all the students from the two elementary classrooms that this teacher was in. The teacher that was suspected positive at KMS on Friday had test results come back negative so four teachers will be removed from quarantine. In the past week, we have quarantined 33 students and three staff. We start with remote learning tomorrow (November 23). We plan on returning to in-person learning, if deemed safe by the health department, on January 4th. Here is the schedule: Remote Learning Schedule If you have any questions, please email me at chad.vanarnhem@kirtlandschools.org. Take care, Chad VanArnhem, Superintendent | |
