There are 3 categories with the AP Scholar Awards: AP Scholar: Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. · Corinne Greenlee · Philip LaVerde · Malia Becker · Charlie Burris · Gianna Cantini · Skye Carpenter · Scott Haymer · Kaley Ream · Mason Rus · Joseph Schueren · Payton VanArnhem · Jonathan Withrow AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. · Bobby Whttaker · Amalie Gettig · Penelope Jankowski · Macy McIntosh · Livia Susevich AP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. · Alyssa Bryll · Reilly Greenlee · Marco Valentic National Merit Commended Scholar Of the 1.6 million entrants, some 50,000 with the highest PSAT/NMSQT® Selection Index scores (calculated by doubling the sum of the Reading, Writing and Language, and Math Test scores) qualify for recognition in the National Merit® Scholarship Program. In September, these high scorers are notified through their schools that they have qualified as either a Commended Student or Semifinalist. Commended Students In late September, more than two-thirds (about 34,000) of the approximately 50,000 high scorers on the PSAT/NMSQT® received Letters of Commendation in recognition of their outstanding academic promise. Commended Students are named on the basis of a nationally applied Selection Index score.
