First Week Update - August 20th
Kirtland Local Schools First Week |
Hello Kirtland Families, We have had an absolutely amazing start to the school year at the Kirtland Local Schools! While walking the campus, I have been overwhelmed by the positive energy felt from the staff and students. I love seeing the children getting off the bus excited and running into the school. Seeing students in classrooms working hard, collaborating and having fun is inspiring. Our district will continue to strongly recommend wearing masks and monitor the number of positive cases. We will continue with a dashboard to track cases to keep our families and community informed. It can be found at: https://www.kirtlandschools.org/COVID-19Updates.aspx. We will continue with our current protocols and adjust if needed if our numbers change. I can't stress enough, the best way to keep your child out of quarantine so he or she can remain in school and extracurricular activities (if he or she is not or can’t be vaccinated) is to have him or her wear a face covering while in the building. We look forward to welcoming our youngest Hornets next week as our kindergarten students come to campus! They are the Class of 2034! I hope to see many of you tonight at our first home football game that starts at 7:00 pm. Thanks for your support and Go Hornets! -Chad VanArnhem, Superintendent | |
