The reception will be held on July 25 from 6:30 - 7:00pm prior to the Board Meeting in the Kirtland High School cafeteria.

New Vaccines Required for Entering 7th and 12th Grades by ODE (Correction)
The Ohio Department of Education is requiring two additional vaccines this year. Students in grade 7 are required to have a TDAP, and now also meningitis vaccine. Grade 12 students are now required to have a second dose of meningitis vaccine unless their first dose was administered on or after their sixteenth birthday. Kirtland Board of Education Hires a New Superintendent
At its June 30 meeting, the Board of Education will act on the hiring of William R. Wade, currently principal of Mentor High School, as Superintendent of the Kirtland Local Schools.
The Board of Education feels fortunate to have had two extraordinary candidates as finalists for the Superintendent position. After thorough deliberations, the Board is excited to move forward with Mr. Wade as its next Superintendent beginning August 1, 2016. In addition to tomorrow night, the Board will be scheduling opportunities for all members of the Kirtland school community to meet Mr. Wade as he begins his leadership of the District.
STUFF THE BUS for Our Students
Kirtland Area Service Council is starting a new project to get school off to a rousing start. We want to “Stuff the Bus” with school supplies. Many Kirtland students need help getting themselves ready for school and getting all the materials they need. This “Stuff the Bus” project will help Kirtland students and teachers to start a great year. “Stuff the Bus” will be held on Tuesday, August 9, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and August 10, 2015 from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Just pull up in front of the Kirtland Elementary School on Chillicothe Road, bring your school supply donations, and “STUFF THE BUS”! Click here for more details.

KHS Recognized by U.S. News
Congratulations to the students, staff and faculty of Kirtland High School for once again being recognized as a U.S. News Top School! KHS was ranked in the top 7% of all Ohio high schools.
CHAMPS Camp at KES for Grades K-3
C.H.A.M.P.S. will provide instruction and review to enhance skills across the curriculum and will run from July 5 through August 11. Click here for more information.

Kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 school year will be taking place on May 13, 2016. You must call the office to set up an appointment at 440-256-3344. Your child must be 5 years old by September 30, 2016. All required enrollment documents are on the Kirtland Schools website under the Parents tab. If you need a paper copy, please stop in the Kirtland Elementary office.

So amounts you’ve already spent are eligible! Any Heinen’s shopper may participate, so tell everyone you know to select Kirtland as their school of choice! Please remember to mark your calendar as well, because you have to re-select your school of choice annually.
