After Prom 2016
Prom this year will be held May 6th and we will again be hosting an After Prom at the school immediately following the dance. After Prom is a fun and safe event put on by Kirtland High School parents. We have already begun planning this year's event! This year we will transform the school into the magical world of Disney. We are inviting the students to "Be our Guests" to what is shaping up to be the best After Prom ever. You are critical to the continued success of this event. It will take a team of volunteers to put on this event, which is a highlight of many of our students' high school experiences. Please visit the After Prom webpage here (or under the Community link above) for more information.
Kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 school year will be taking place on May 13, 2016. You must call the office to set up an appointment at 440-256-3344. Your child must be 5 years old by September 30, 2015. All required enrollment documents are on the Kirtland Schools website under the Parents tab. KHS Students Win Cleveland Clinic eXpressions Awards
Congratulations to our 2016 Cleveland Clinic eXpressions Art and Language winners: Dylan Choe (Blue Ribbon); Lauren Covetta (Red Ribbon); Samantha Bailey (White Ribbon); Allie Donohue (White Ribbon); Claire Neibecker (Honorable Mention) and Grace Powers (Honorable Mention). Of the roughly 1,600 art and language submissions last month, only 25 language ribbons were awarded. As a result, this year’s competition was the largest and toughest yet. An esteemed panel of content specialists used four criteria to evaluate each submission: interpretation, presentation, creativity, and initiative. Kirtland students earned 4 of only 25 language ribbons awarded. Award-winning projects will be published in the Cleveland Clinic eXpressions™ catalogue and on their website, and will be publicly displayed in the 2016 eXpressions™ Art, Language, and Math eXhibition at the Global Center for Health Innovation beginning Thursday, January 28 until March.
